"Os Jangadieros" - Fastnet 2007 Team News

Latest News:

Crew Change (June): A warm welcome to Martyn Johnson who will be joining us on the remaining events, and hopefully the Fastnet itself.

Equipment (June): Jangada Too is now equipped with an EPIRB, including integal GPS positioning for rapid location by Search & Rescue. Lets hope we never need to use it. The new #4 jib should be delivered in time for the Morgan Cup.

Cervantes (6 May): An encouraging result for the start of the season, especially with a few new faces on board. Only 9 mins behind Red Arrow and ~30mins behind the lead J/109s. An improvement of 2.5%, i.e. 0.13kn average speed is all it takes to catch the leaders. So get those sail trimming guides out and keep fit.
The RORC web site has both race report and full results

Jim Saltonstall Training Weekend (1 Apr): A fantastic training weekend under the watchfull eye (and camcorder) of Olympic coach Jim Saltonstall. Along with a fleet of seven other J/109s we were put to the test in blustery 20kt+ winds. Many usefull tips picked up, some of which I have captured - (right click here to download).
